The Assistant Training Manager is responsible for implementing training programs and overseeing the development of careers. Job is based on hospitality work – waiters, barman and chefs.

Must have passion for the hospitality industry

To ensure the smooth and effective functioning of training takes place at Head office as well as at external sites. Manage, design, develop, coordinate and conduct large or small-scale training programs.

To manage the Training coordinators efficiently to ensure that productivity of the staff meets and exceeds the guest expectation.

Key Performance Areas

To develop a good working relationship with your client.

Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within the organization.

Supervise technical training for staff.

Conduct orientation sessions. This includes site specific as well as General induction.

Create brochures and training materials which is site specific as well as adding value to the Brand

Develop multimedia visual aids and presentation which is site specific as well as adding value to the Brand

Create testing and evaluation processes. Ensure that all evaluations are done accurately and timeously.

Evaluate needs of company/client and plan training programs accordingly

Conduct performance evaluations.

Provide classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops that is specific to the needs of the client and students

Manage staff of classroom facilitators.

Provide performance feedback reports to that of the client and Operations/General Manager

Conduct continuing education training.

Provide leadership development education.

Build solid cross-functional relationships.

Assist with the development of strategic training plans.

 

Qualifications Required

Matric

Hospitality Management Diploma or equivalent

Skills and Experience Required

Training and development – background

Must have worked in Hospitality Industry before

Be computer literate – Word, Excel, Power point

Conducted class room training and On Job Training before

Other Requirements

Own transport

South African Citizen

5 Year Hospitality Experience or similar
