After spending 16 weeks training hospitality teachers from township schools in South Africa, I came away with a completely different perspective. In fact, it became clear to me that Teachers are The Real Heroes.

This isn’t really a story about hospitality training, but more a reminder that in every society, teachers are, without doubt, the real heroes we should never take for granted.

In this emotional and reflective podcast, I share my experiences working with educators who are helping to shape the next generation despite enormous challenges including poverty, unemployment, violence and social inequality. Undoubtedly, teachers stand as the real heroes through all of this adversity.
